Chelle’s Story
Chelle’s isn’t just a brasserie — it’s a story of family, love, and legacy.
When we first discovered this little spot, we knew it had the potential to become something truly special — a place where good food, warm conversation, and a genuine sense of belonging could come together. We wanted to create more than just a restaurant; we wanted to build a home for the community.
So when the opportunity came to acquire Jack’s, we took it — with a vision to transform it into something deeply personal. From that moment, Chelle’s was born.
A Name with Meaning
The name Chelle’s carries a story close to our hearts.
It’s named in loving memory of our CEO’s late mother, Michelle — affectionately known to everyone as Chelle.
She was the heart of every gathering, the person who made sure everyone was fed, comfortable, and cared for. Her warmth, laughter, and creativity inspired everything we wanted this place to be.
Despite living with reduced mobility, Chelle never let her disability hold her back. She had an incredible creative spark and poured her love into handmade gifts for everyone she knew. One of her favourites was making “Tree of Life” ornaments — carefully shaped with a hot glue gun, each one symbolising family, growth, and connection.
That’s where the idea for our Chelle’s logo was born — inspired by her trees, representing the strength of roots, the beauty of branches, and the way love holds everything together.
From Vision to Reality
What started as an idea quickly became a labour of love.
We brought together a passionate team who believed in what Chelle’s could be — a friendly, relaxed space filled with character, where people could come together over great food and even better company.
From the freshly ground coffee to the homemade dishes crafted with care, every detail has been chosen to honour the values that Chelle lived by: kindness, quality, and connection.
A Place for Everyone
Chelle’s isn’t just about dining — it’s about community. Whether you’re joining us for breakfast with friends, a family Sunday lunch, or an evening drink after work, we want you to feel like part of the family.
This place exists because of people who believe in something bigger than business — they believe in heart, heritage, and hospitality.
In Loving Memory of Chelle
Her creativity, strength, and spirit continue to inspire us every day.
Her story lives on in every meal we serve, every smile we share, and every branch of our Tree of Life.
